Who We Are
So, what are we really? Part bakery, deli, cafe, and gourmet food shop, we offer food solutions for discerning people on the go:

What we've discovered in our 19 year history is that people still want high quality food made by traditional means. At Marvelous Market, we like our items to be made the old-fashioned way. We like craftsmen who mix and shape bread by hand, and prefer natural leavening and stone milled grains. We love the crust created by the heat of a hearthstone oven. We demand the same care and patience be used making our rustic pastries and desserts and in all our food. Our kitchen produces soups, salads, entrees and sandwiches using the best ingredients that we can find.
To compliment these made-from-scratch offerings, we have brought together a selection of our favorite farmhouse cheeses, cured olives, extra virgin olive oils and old fashioned preserves. We've tried to take a giant step backward before taking our first step forward. We try to let the past be our guide. Virtually everything we sell is made fresh from scratch. Simple foods packed with flavor. Not too many moving parts. We don't try to be something we aren't. No frills or fuss. Just fresh food for the taking.
Food and Philosophy: Three Pillars
We believe in three basic Marvelous things in our company, Quality, Convenience, and Community.
Quality
Our Quality Pillar is pretty simple. We believe in making, finding and selling only the freshest, healthiest food. Everything we sell is made fresh from scratch, usually by the hand of artisans. We don’t use artificial colors, flavors or additives. We don’t use muffin mixes, pre made cake sponges, or commercial yeast. We do it the right way. The old fashioned way. The hard way.
Why? Because natural, hand made foods simply taste better. You’ll taste the difference. Sure, our competitors have mastered techniques to lower prices but they do it the “easy” way. Cheaper sandwiches mean cheaper meat accomplished by adding filler and artificial ingredients. That’s not our way.
Convenience
Our Convenience Pillar is customer driven. Our guests simply don’t have enough time in their lives. They are on the move, constantly trying to keep up with the demands or work, family, and self. It’s hard and we know that. However, our guests don’t want to sacrifice their health or happiness by settling for “fast food”. A greasy, fat-loaded burger is just not suitable. Our time pressed customers want better, healthier, faster food.
As a result, we’ve designed our stores to be FAST and easy. Everything is prepackaged for convenience. Sandwiches, salads, entrees, cheeses, you name it. We try to solve the problems of our time-starved clientele. Need lunch in under a minute? Choose from dozens of our gourmet grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, soups and entrees.
Having a meeting? Order from our Catering menu. Hosting a cocktail party? Pick up your wine, bread, cheese, olives, and spreads in our stores. Want a “real” birthday cake but don’t have time to make it? Call your local store. We try to make life easier…
Community
Marvelous has long been a supporter of our neighborhoods, long before it became trendy. We aren’t militant or vocal about it. We just think being a good neighbor is the right thing to do.
Since our opening in 1991, we have donated left over product at the end of each day to charitable organizations. Food banks, homeless shelters, and church organizations get fresh bread, pastries, sandwiches and leftover foods from our stores. We’ve chosen not to align ourselves with any one “mega” organization; we really believe that we can help each one of the communities in which we have stores.
We are active donors to schools and other civic organizations too. Having an auction? Ask your local store manager for a donation.
